Gobble Gobble Gobble
Turkey day is just around the corner!! In order to make this the best Thanksgiving ever you'll need to plan early. iBoozer will dedicate our next two Drink of the Week editions, as well as November's Monthly Newsletter, to Thanksgiving treats . Watch for our food and beverage ideas, they're sure to be crowd pleasers!

What will you do to make this year even more special then last? Why not take a walk on the wild side and try something a little different, a little non-traditional? We have a few simple ideas that will you inject some life into your holiday turkey.
Turkey Injection Sauce
14 oz chicken broth (canned will do)
3 fluid oz garlic oil (or 1 1/2oz pureed garlic)
1 tbsp. salt
4 tbsp. Louisiana hot sauce
1 tsp. cayenne
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Procedure: Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Using a course needle, inject the turkey throughout all its meaty portions. To allow the flavors to properly meld with the bird, you must do this at least 24 hours in advance. Once marinated, cook as you normally would.

For more information on this Cajun kicker, see our Nov. 2000 Monthly Newsletter. I'm sure it'll really spice up your Turkey-Day. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Following your down-south trend, why not theme your Thanksgiving beverages as well? There are so many interesting and refreshing ingredients to use, such as the Georgia peach!
Southern Peach
1 1/2 oz bourbon
1/2 oz grenadine
2 oz orange juice
2 oz sour mix
1 oz peach schnapps
Procedure: Fill a parfait glass with ice, pour in the grenadine, and bourbon. Combine the remaining ingredients in a mixing glass and shake thoroughly. Slowly pour mixture into glass and garnish with a peach slice.

What could be more reminiscent of the old south then bourbon and peaches. Yummy!! But let's not leave out those who prefer their refreshments without the alcohol.
Peach Melba
8 oz peach nectar
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1/2 whole sliced peach
3 oz ripe raspberries
Procedure: Combine ingredients in a blender at low speed. Pour into a highball glass and garnish with raspberries.
Where to get it
Seasoning Injector: Can be found in most BBQ or specialty cooking stores, or online at The Cajun Injector. Look in their catalog under Injectors.
